Well, leave it to a man in a kilt to have Deacon whistling another tune. Speaking of changes, Dante was a complete jerk during most of this book. I wanted to clap when Deacon called him on his behavior. We learn that, like Deacon, Dante is having some family issues back home. While I am sorry to find that out, I am enjoying getting more glimpses into who Dante is. He’s been kind of elusive for someone who has such a big role in the book. I actually consider him as main character number 2, because he’s the only constant (Kate not included) from book to book, besides Deacon. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2020 )

- 4.0 out of 5 stars from alias11 -- Different country, same Deacon : Deacon's exploits around the world continue with a trip to Scotland and Castle Doune. After committing to stop having sex with his bachelors and behaving himself in the last book, Deacon is back to his old self in this one, lusting after virtually every man he sees from the driver to the valet to the bachelor. It makes for some very hot scenes. The bachelor, Knox Archibald. came off almost stalkerish to me at first, but once Deacon decides sex is back on the table, they seem to be on the same page. There are some surprises in this one, including one involving Dante, and the relations between Deacon and the Scot definitely get - um - creative? I still find the behavior of these gents over-the-top for men indicated to be around 40, but if I think of them as being a decade younger, their escapades make perfect sense, and I enjoy the books a lot more. - 4.0 out of 5 stars from Amelia -- Knox and Deacon amped up the steaminess in this novella! : I liked this steamy addition to the series, even if Deacon did cave in and go back to screwing around. At this point, there's so much going on outside of the love connections that even though I'm not a huge fan of the no-strings hookups I can still get excited about everything else going on. It's so much fun to see which over-the-top set location Dante chooses in each country, and I feel like I'm learning a lot about the most touristy spots to visit. This novella was more lighthearted than the last one, and I enjoyed the surprise twist involving Alasdair. I still have no idea if Deacon will end up actually falling in love with any of these bachelors, but it's exciting to be part of the ride! ( Reviewed in the United States on September 22, 2020 )

While both Deacon and Knox have personal issues they need to deal with the Bachelor series must continue shooting but it's behind the scenes that the sizzle factor increases to almost incendiary. Without giving too much away this is one book you need to read, just for the amazingly well-written bedroom scenes ( Reviewed in Australia on July 28, 2020 )
